Maddie and I started a Mommy and me dance class today. When we first got there she was really shy and clinging to me.
Then she started to warm up to the teachers and the little girls. The teacher was so cute with the girls!
By the end Maddie wanted to be the star of the show, and was running across the room and taking her time spinning and strutting her stuff on back to the other side where we all were waiting. I enjoy the few moments I get of her being shy every once in a while. She got so excited at one point when they played a song from Pocahontas that she knew, and then later on when they played "If You're Happy and You Know It..." She tried to request "Twinkle Twinkle" but they didn't have it. I had so much fun watching her try out this dance class, and as she was falling asleep in my arms at nap time, she said, "Mommy I love my dancing class!" It was so cute. I love her enthusiasm in everything we do. It's the smallest things that she'll get excited over, and she'll say very enthusiastically, "Yes!" or "Woo-hoo!" Like tonight when Daddy brought home the chocolate milk as requested by Little M. Here's a video of M dancing her heart out. Watch out So You Think You Can Dance competitors...
That is so fun. I'm so excited your doing it, I wish I could do it. But Bart would KILL me if I took Owen. I love it. That's where I took Dance my whole life. I love it there and I'm so glad you and Maddie are getting to have such a fun experience.

I am wondering how long before she decides to show them "her" move. Make sure you catch a photo when she does. : )
Aren't you glad she requested "Twinkle-Twinkle" instead of Black-Eyed Peas or Lady Gaga like usual? I can't wait for the day she demands "Poker Face"!
This is one proud Auntie.
